[2.1] Downgrade Bootloader/Baseband
I've got a 2g iPhone, unlocked, jailbroken, that needs to go in for repairs. I'm trying to make the phone look like it should when it came out of the box. It was originally the 8gig, came with 1.1.2 on it. From what I've read, the bootloader I SHOULD have on it is 4.6, but I have 3.9 right now. I downloaded bootneuter, turned neuter, fakeblank, and unlock to off and pressed 4.6 as the bootloader version. The bootloader succeeds, but the baseband failed the first time, and it told me to re run. I did, and it worked, but with my ATT prepaid sim in the phone I get no signal. What am I doing wrong?

Well, you did everything correct. After using Bootneuter (settings are correct), I would have DFU restored to Apple Firmware 2.1 in iTunes 8. The AT&T prepaid is not expected to get a signal then.

Did you restart your iPhone? What is your iPhone's baseband now? You can check it by going to Settings -> General -> About...
Cheers~~

For the record, I didn't get it to work. I was in the process of trying to downgrade even further.. and then my phone fixed it self somehow. I was going to send it in because the vibrate function stopped working, and it just started working out of the blue, so i restored back to 2.1, unlocked, and everything's working now. Thanks for your suggestions though.
