[1.1.4 or 2.0] Can I skip using iLiberty and go ahead and use the Pwnage tool ??
Hi,
I am following this tutorial because my iphone is (apparently) very stuck between 2.0 and 1.1.4
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1504
Because is taking a long time for me to get the 1.1.4 firmware to restore in an "image" or cube form. (The firmware comes in a folder, but I can't turn it into "an image", like those little cubes. As a folder with a "thousand files" the 1.1.4 firmware to restore seems unmanageable).
My question is, is there a difference in the result of the tutorial if I go ahead and skip steps 7, 8, 9, and 10, and then I go directly to update iTunes to version 7.7. After updating, I pwn using the 1.1.4 firmware to restore and everything will be "cool", isn't it.
I am following the tutorial because my iPhone seems to be deeply "lost and stuck" and because it had marked unknown error (-50) when I previously tried to restore. I just want to restore it propperly.
I am using an ibook with such applications as Safari, iTunes 7.5, and iPhoto.
Thank you very much for your help,
