I get stuck on the GeoHots photo... (waiting for reboot)... It don't reboot... I manually reboot, but the freeze didn't came out...

Worked fine for me. I was stuck in recover mode but disconnected the iPhone, restarted purplera1n, reconnected my iPhone and sweetness..

Way to go GeoHot....

Veency crashes Springboard if installed.

Yup.. me too its not work with my XP Media Centre.. BUT.. then I run to the other PC with XP Home..

- Install iTunes 8.2
- Connect my Iphone (first i switch it off - slide the red button) to the computer...
- Run the Purplera1n.exe > make it rain
- it's gonna state entering recovery > running...
- Then the rain guy appears on the screen.
- wait until it's done and reboot.
- then there a new icon.. Freeze.
- Run Freeze > install cydia.

That's it. Now i try to unlock it using this guide.

hey, somebody knows how to delete Freeze icon? i tried to download cydelete but when i hold the cydia icon, the x sign in the corner of Freeze doesnt come out, any help?

Got to go into cydelete settings (inside main settings area) and turn on the ability to delete no cydia installed apps. Once you delete Freeze you can go back in and turn that setting back off.

i tried to restart the phone and it works, but the thing is when i press the cross on Freeze, it told "Freeze" was not installed by Cydia, and cannot be removed by ydelete.

This is why I always keep an XP machine around. It's the same story with FW updates for many products. Even with Nokia phones keeping an XP machine around is important.


Sure, initially I got Wi-Fi and 3G issues, but they all fixed themselves. I got safe mode with Winterboard and other apps but uninstalling them fixed it.

We need to wait for JB apps to be updated for 3.0. In the meantime the stuff that works is awesome: Intelliscreen.
