I got RC2 to work for me on Vista Ultimate. Took me 3 tries but the nice thing is it didn't get stuck in recovery mode like RC1. The third time I right clicked on the icon and select run as administrator and it worked perfect! Don't know if it was important or strickly luck but it worked. Thanks!!! GEO GUY!!!
Anyone experiencing a serious lag on the unlock screen after doing the purplera1n JB and ultraosn0w unlock? My "slide to unlock" button takes more than 3 seconds before it becomes responsive. This has never happened before i did the JB and unlock.
i am stuck in the rain man screen, it will not go anywhere, i even unplugged and reboot phone and takes me back to where i left off... even tried restarting the app and i get no where! can anyone give me any suggestions on this without using restore?
Hi All,
Is any one else experience this?
I jailbreak using rc2 on XP.
Once all done, I unlocked it using ultrasn0w.
Now, all is working great, but I can't call with out taking the sim out and putig it back in.
Any help :(
i used the mac version and everything went so easy. not that the pwnage tools aren't easy but that was REALLY REALLY EASY!
the 3gs is a damn fast phone
Yea, the whole idea of one mouse click is a pretty intuitive jailbreak.
Significantly easier than QuickPwn or Redsn0w.
Not that QuickPwn was ever that *difficult* of a jailbreak... just that a dozen intuitive clicks is still a little more than a single intuitive click. ;)
Even then, I am very happy to be back to 5 icon springboard and 5 icon dock on my iPhone. I've not even bothered to install anything else, but a big part of that is that there isn't Winterboard at the moment and most other functionality that I've been jailbreaking for is already handled by default in 3.0.

Hey, glad to hear it's working for most, hence the reason I am so keen to get mine going.
I've got as far as "done, waiting for reboot" but then the handset itself goes into recovery and the screen is stuck on the usb/itunes screen.
I've waited for something to happen for well over half an hour and haven't seen any rain man appear?
Does it matter whether the sim is in the phone or not?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
If you've got the "connect to iTunes" screen, hold power and home button untill the phone powers off. Then power on, and you should then see the Purplera1n screen.
Do this with the USB cable still connected
Easiest and fastest jailbreak ever.
I did it as soon as RC1 was available and then again today to get to RC2a and both times it went straight through.......no worries.
This is why I can't understand how so many people are having problems. You don't need iTunes open for a start. I keep seeing posts saying you do but I didn't have it running either time I used purplera1n.
Now, if we could just get Winterboard fixed, all will be gooooooodddd !!!!
