Purplera1n RC2a for MAC works like a charm, just download, run the program, and its just like the windows version, no problems at all ran on my unibody macbook.
also if you've allready jailbroken with winxp RC1, and are updating with this version to RC2, everything stays the same, and FREEZE doesnt install, yet the permissions in terminal are fixed.
works perfect. :D
How do you get rid of the 'freeze' app after the install... I tried using cydelete with no luck... any ideas?
just install open ssh and remove it from applications...easy

I'd used the v1 Windows purplera1n on a borrowed Windows machine (I only have Macs, 11 of them...) to initially JB my 3GS but ran the Mac purplera1n with the RC2 payload on top of it.
Worked perfectly, all my existing apps / media / settings remained intact.
All I need now is Saurik to tweak Winterboard and I'll be fine :) The Terminal app starts upside down as well, but I'm expecting this to be more due to the differences in 3.0 rather than Hotz's jailbreak per se.
Mac version seems to be working flawlessly on my 3GS. YouTube working, Phone working, WiFi working, AppStore working etc
Had the same issue with Terminal the first time I opened it, but now it opens the right way up.
Props to GeoHot. Lovin' the fact that I didn't have to do a DFU restore to JB it.
