Guys,

I really got an annoying nuisance here. I tried to jailbrake my 3GS-32 yesterday, applying purplera1n.
It sort of got hung up after a while, the beach ball rotating on end, so I stopped the whole mess after the best part of an hour. Of course, I had read all tutorials and hints before.

When rebooting the iPhone, it asked for a connection with iTunes. So I plugged it to my MacBook Pro once again, and iTunes found an "unknown" iPhone, and told me to restore, which I attempted.
However, a message popped up before long, reading, "iTunes encountered an unknown error (error # 2005)".
I've retried twice, same result, only once it was #3014, then on a Windows machine, the phone didn't even show up there.

I really could need a hand with this. Nothing turned out to fit in Hackint0sh and other places' discussions.
Of course, I've tried every single tip in the bible (DFU-mode, 30secs reset, home-button connecting, ...), as well as Apple's support files (Update and restore alert messages on iPhone and iPod touch), and I'm about to bring it back to my provider, by now.

Any hints? I would be extremely grateful.
