Do you have this bug after purplera1n jailbreak on your iPhone 3GS? ( Skype, Fring..)

Hey guys,

I noticed that after jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS with purplera1n, following apps crash on me when "Tricker ThreeG" or VoIPover3G" are installed from Cydia:

- app store
- fring
- skype

All of these crash when Tricker ThreeG or VoIPover 3G are installed.

I haven't tried those, but in general apps have not yet been updated so uninstall and wait is the solution.

Voipover3g gives me problems on both my 3g and 3gs. So, it is an ssue with fw 3.0. Will have to wait until an update.

Well, I just have this problem with my 3GS, with 3G everything works flawlessly.

You're right. I was having issues with the 3g, but they updated fring and all is well now.

Both of those require kernel/mobilesubstrate patches to modify the OS (required to trick the apps into believing they are on Wifi) which have not been updated for 3GS differences in the 3.0 OS.

The $2 program 3G Unrestrictor works no problem. Funny how the free one doesn't but the paid one does.

I'm glad the paid one came out, though. It works on any application and you can easily choose which apps you want it to patch.
