    No virus for Mac.
Your best choice is not to install any, they are problematic.

Arrow Do I need an Antivirus

Some systems may experience some issues after installing an Antivirus, nevertheless is your choice whether you install it or not. In the link below explains you why you don't need it.

    Thumbs up

My college requires all computers to have anti-virus, this includes the iMacs and Mac Pros in the film suites - pretty sure they use ClamXav although when i was talking to the admin he said they have never detected a virus on the Macs, which isn't really surprising...

I m bumping this thread out of curiosity.
Eset and F-Secure seem to bring their products to Macs now.
Still, i havent red anything about an outbreak of viruses on macos x recently (just the one about the trojan).
On the other hand, i m not a supporter of consirancy theories ("antivirus companies are actually the ones spreading viruses" and other similar fud), so i m curious to know if there's any other reason they decided to port their products to mac ($ is the one in the list i guess).
Any thoughts? Is there smoke without fire?

I'll keep an open mind about viruses on the mac platform, I came across a worm virus about 10 years ago, but could never work out what it was trying to do. I think with the advent of "Intel" macs it's more likely that they'll crop up, but I don't think there is anything worth worrying about at the moment. Lets face it if trojans were that easy to get on to the platform, with the amount of P2P going on they would have shown up long ago.
