iPhone 3G can be Unlocked to use in Venezuela??
Sorry for the basic questions, i have been out of the loop for a feew months and so much has progressed!
I just recieved a 2 new iPhone 3G. I want to know what I need to use to unlock both iPhone and use them in Venezuela with Digitel or Movistar.
Yes I use the iClarified Tutorial for windows and WinPwn 2.5 but when I insert my SIM card no signal bar appears.
So what 's the deal? I'm see that on Venezuela some people sale the 3G iPhone unlocked but I don't know what method they are using to unlock them.
Can anyone here help me, please?
Thank you.

There is no unlock for the 3G iPhone. In some countries iPhone 3G is sold factory unlocked, like Italy, Greece, Czech Rep., Belgium and others. These are the only once that can be used with any carrier's simcard.
So far Winpwn and PwnageTool 2only" jailbreak 3G iPhones and let you install and use Cydia and Installer.

Popy,
dont give money to those sites, it is all scam, they are just after your money. The Dev Team is working on a solution, I'd wait for that one...
We have couple threads here on *sim "solutions". More problem then help as far ad I am concerned. I would not go for it, better wait for an unlock.

There are a few SIM solutions which work.
Get them off eBay for like 15-20$ each.
TurboSIM works for my friend, and YesSIM too.

Hi there, just to give some of my short experience with *sim solutions.
I just got a 16GB 3G iPhone and I'm using a Gevey 3G solution to work with my provider down here in Brazil.
It is working fine:
call in/out: ok
sms in/out: ok
gps: ok
data EDGE/3G: ok
I just have two problems so far (1 week running):
1. When I connect to iTunes I have to enable the Airplane Mode, otherwise it says that I got an invalid SIM.
2. I have to deal with some phone number issues, like the +55 11 xxxx-xxxx that is identified on an incoming SMS does not associate with the related contact.
It was jailbkaked when I bought it and I just placed the Gevey 3G with my SIM very carefully and it worked at first. It was bought in NY two weeks ago and is running 2.0.2.
