    Default [Help] The biggest Challenge

I hope thats the right forum to post this.

With the guys of this forum and their posts i was able to fix many iphones most likely all of them, but now i got something that blasting my head off since a week and i didn`t even find any post about that problem anywhere in the web just parts of it and now i thought i give it to you guys because now i think i'm done so i hope you can help me.

Last week my teammate came to me and gave me his iphone and asks me if i can fix it he wasn't able to do it by himself because he is a dumb in hardware things, so i said ok no problem doing that 3 times a week should be easy... but it wasn't.

To the Facts I got from him:
    - IPhone 3G with Jailbreak 4.0.0
    - Absolutly no reaction from the iphone except when i go into the dfu mode with 10 sec home+power then 10 sec home only. There it says in Itunes that it has to be restored, when i proceed it fails with the Code 1601.
    - permanent Black Screen
    - He said me that his button was a little bit nasty so he wasn able to turn off his wake alarm and so the battery got empty and the problem appears, so i thinks it was fully discharged.

the only programm who notice that their is an i phone plugged in is itunes all other programms just want me to plug it in either if its in or not.

Because of the fact that Itunes notice the Iphone i think it is able to be fixed but how should i do without getting any program notice the iphone.

excuse me for my bad english

There are a couple things. A 1600/1601/1602/1603 is usually caused by problems with the Apple Mobile Device modules and services.

Please review the link here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/130802.htm

That will give you the info you need to post a restore log for us that will contain information we can use to help troubleshoot. Beyond that, reading through that link, you can follow to Apple's page about the errors, they mention as well that the 1600/1601/1602/1603 should be troubleshot by checking the cable, the USB port, and the computer that you're using. If none of that fixes it, uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling may.

That said, if uninstall/reinstall/cable swap/different USB port do not fix, follow the instructions to post a useful restore log for us and we'll take a look.

    Good luck!

    Default Ok

    Thanks for your reply.

    Ok first the log Files:
    Error 1600
    http://pastesite.com/19181

    Error 1601
    http://pastesite.com/19182

As you may can see i figured out that i get that when i use the original 2.0.0 Firmware for iphone 3g i get the 1600 Error instead of the 1601 so i posted both.

And Yes, i tried every "common" solution switch cable, switch pc's, using programms like iREB or/and ibrickr, with libusb, without libusb, reinstalled itunes AND windows at least too nothing helped

    I used Itunes x64 Version 10.0.0.68
    and Itunes x86 Version 10.0.1.22

    both failed

I even tryed Itunes 7.5 but it didn't yet recocnize the iphone, it says "the ipod is in recovery mode and has to be restored" and i didn't even find the function to restore anything their because if i click on the "ipod" the screen below is all black"

the problem is that this is not my own iphone and my teammate has no clue what was installed on his iphone, but for jailbraking he was tough enough^^ so he said me he jailbraked it with 4.0.0 and did nothing else. The first time it was running perfectly until he discharged it.From that point it only runs the dfu mode.

i know thats not many information but i hope its enough

Both restore logs indicate that the phone hasn't got to the point where the iPhone takes over and runs the rest of the restore via the ramdisk.

You say that you reinstalled windows as well as iTunes.

Did you follow the guides in this article when removing and reinstalling iTunes?

Error 1601 or 1602 when restoring iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes

Was the 2.0 IPSW direct from Apple or custom IPSW?

My best suggestion is to use iRecovery (or if you don't want to use libUSB Mostly iPhone hacking: iRecovery functionality on Windows without libUSB) to manually send a pwned iBSS then continue the restore with a standard IPSW from iTunes.
