I've never hacked an iPhone so I don't know how to use all the tools. But my brother in laws jail Broken iPhone is stuck on the picture of itunes logo with a usb wire and an arrow pointing upwards, restore mode I think from reading a few forums. I tried to restore it with iTunes but near the end of the restore i got the message. 'The "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1015).' Looking into this on your forums i found that this is when the softward has been downgraded and I need to put it into DFU mode, so I downloaded 'redsn0w_win_0.9.9b8' but when i followed the steps to put it in DFU mode it said something like iPhone 3g not supported. I then got tinyumbrella and tried playing around on that but didn't understand anything about it. Is there an easy to understand way of resetting the iPhone?
