    Yes it's safe to install it, but to be on the safe side back-up loginwindow.app.

    Works on AMD just backup "loginwindow" and "CarbonCore.framework"
    update and then restore them in -s to original location...

    There is a patcher file for both of those @ IM, but carboncore patch doesn't work (at least for me). So you have to restore your original..

    Yeah i tried that patch from Kiko... it doesnt work.
    Even if you patch carbon core it will not work (iTunes prefs) and if you patch loginwindow you lose "about this mac" info
