to plastering his site with donation links and ads that tell you

"Advertisers are also supporting me and ZiPhone use them to support this site !
At the moment 1/152 :| people is supporting them.
When it will be 1/30, I won't need donations at ALL."

Now, going back to Italian ZiPhone, it may look like Z is trying to share some of the ziPie, but anyone with half a brain knows better.

First, look at Z's message (fully quoted)

The italian ziphone site is READY. More languages to come shortly.
Go and see it and donate!
Money donated on the italian site goes directly to the translator and manager.
And thank her !"

Then, look up the WHOIS info on GoDaddy for ZiPhone.org, and you find that it is registered to Zibri$oft. Then you will see that the the so called "translator" is the admin for Zibri$oft. She is also the person he thanked for "moral support" in his credits release of ZiPhone... and we have it on good authority that she's also... (drumroll please)... HIS GIRLFRIEND.

So, how much pie do we think is being shared now?

What I don't understand is, he is Italian and could have translated it himself. But instead, he had to get his bimbo to do it for him. He's working 18 hours a day on his junk program (just look at the damn source code).. I'm sure he could have found time to translate his freaking site.

He's not a coder (see http://pastebin.ca/914305), and his translator/girlfriend doesn't speak English... so, that kinda evens it all out doesn't it? Just the blind leading the blind, at the expense of the Ztupid!

ZIBRI and the DEVS who cares they all do the same thing

1. The unlock was George's deal, but Zibri came up with the ramdisk exploit.

2. Do you really care if he's asking for donations? You don't have to donate. For something that he is working on for 18 hours a day, a little bit of pay isn't that much to ask for. Just don't donate, that's all. No big deal.

Everybody can decide whether to donate or not.
It is GeoHot's unlock and ZiPhone is taking it to the broad public. Both have been working on this for many hours. I prefer that people donat to GeoHot rather then going to a local "phone shop" and paying them a lot of money for an unlock they could have had for free.

But I also agree that Zibri is taking this a bit too far. A normal donation button should have been enough.
