While I think that a sub-notebook is coming out, I don't think that's it... (or even close to it). There's no way a base like that could support that screen.
iPhone 2g 3.0

Greetings.
I have been waiting for this product for a while, and I like it
My thoughts and opinions - it's a little larger and heavier than I expected.
Most very initial reactions seem to be mixed -
-ve mostly about price and the case sealed battery, lack of features ( stereo, microphone jacks, firewire , LAN, RAM upgradable??).
+ve style and concept.
My main query is about the memory.
Given the huge price difference between the HDD and FLASH memory.
What about the chance of a future upgrade?
Say from the 80BG HD to ,say, other 3rd party flash solid state?
((If anyone has any information on this please post links or information))
It seems from the photos of Macworld the base of the notebook is screwed on.. looking forward to seeing whats inside!
Sure it will void your warranty , but that didn't stop everyone on this site with an iphone.
Surely this would be the way to go for anyone who wants the Air on the cheap.
EDIT This link yields answers
