Hi all,

just to let y'all know. Fresh install iTunes 10. Plug in iPhone, start running limera1n. Clicked let it rain.

iTunes opens, blocks view of limera1n. Didn't press home and unlock in time. Damn.

Unplug iPhone from docking cable. Aargh. Locked into USB/iTunes screen. Restore ipsw wouldn't authorise.

Tried on mac, wouldn't authorise. Back onto pc. Tried again. Almost crying by now. Not even my phone. Favour for brothers girlfriend.

Oh well. But! As I plug it into pc. Thinks. May as well try limera1n again. Nothing to lose.

Waited til iTunes popped up, minimized. Let it rain. Followed instructions.

Only bloody worked! Believe.

Ran cydia. Install cydia. Install ultrasnow. Restarted. Tried my sim.

All working. Brother landed. I earned a slab of Stella.

Just a hint.. holding down option on mac (or shift on windows) when you plug in the iPhone will ensure iTunes asks you a question about which library to use before it launches properly. You can then quit iTunes quickly without making any changes.

Best to get the iPhone connected, deal with iTunes auto-launching (and if necessary closing iTunes) before you run jailbreaks.
