VoodooHDA Volume Slider / Control issue after update to 10.6.3
Hey all,
Recently updated my Toshiba Satelite A100 laptop to SL 10.6.3
Everything is working beautifully after the update except for my sound. The volume control / slider no longer works (well, you can drag it up/down and it will move but it doesn't actually adjust the volume level at all - it's always maxed).
I tried using the following fix found at: VoodooHDA Volume Control Fix [UPDATED][REUPLOADED] - InsanelyMac Forum
but it didn't change a thing.
Also tried the latest version from Voodoo Labs and same result.
Tried VoodooHDA with prefPane optimized for Snow Leopard - InsanelyMac Forum as well but no change either.
I am about to attempt the following work around using Soundflower found here: VooDooHDA Volume Control/Mute Quickfix - InsanelyMac Forum
But if anyone has any better suggestions or ran into this same issue and somehow resolved it, could you please let me know the steps taken in order to achieve this?
It has the Realtek ALC861 soundcard, and I have a copy of the linux codec dump if someone requests it
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Volume works on modded voodooHDA
the modded version here works perfect with soundflower on 32bit but sadly its not compiled for 64bit

If anyone knows a modded 64bit version that would be awesome...

Do you know a way to start soundflower as a hidden icon rather then having it appear in the taskbar on loading? Also, do you experience issues with soundflower after sleep? It forgets the output on my machine when resuming from sleep.
