post install help needed
I'm new to OSX and hackint0sh but i thought i should give it a try
I have a retail snow leopard 10.6.3
My computer is this: Shuttle Global - Home
plus a NVidia 8800 gt graphics card
First followed this guide: tonymacx86's P55 Hackintosh Blog: iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC
It was all good, i was able to boot the DVD, install OSX, install 10.6.4, most things seemed to be working out of the box, except ethernet, and i had to unplug and replug my ps2 keyboard each time i boot, then i run MultiBeast as the tutorial says, rebooted, and alot of stuff stopped working, the graphics card was not recognized anymore, no audio, no keyboard at all and still no ethernet.
I tried to run MultiBeast again, and activate some of the kexts on the advanced options, and i was able to get the graphics card working again, but not the ethernet, neither the keyboard (i didn't even try audio).
As i didn't know how to revert any of this i reinstalled snow and installed 10.6.4 and kept it like this. I have to always boot it with the BNidia-IBoot cd but its working.
What i need help now is on how to get ethernet working, how to install the bootloader to the disk (without using multibeast, or at least whithout installing all those kexts that broke the system) and if there is a solution for the keyboard problem.
Thanks in advance
Did you post over Tonymac forum for help?
Since they support those and those only, they at least have ideas of what going on with your system and why it broke after multibeast.
I didn't realize they had a forum too, i'll post there.
