    Default Open/Halt/Restart? Last hurdle!

My machine sleep and restart do not work. Even with openhaltrestart. I go to restart and my monitor goes off and machine stays going. If i choose shutdown it actually does work. I have looked EVERYWHERE for a solution and cannot find one. Please someone help if you have ANY ideas.

    Hp Pavillion a6030n
    Amd 64 x 2
    iatkos v7 10.5.7
    Voodoo
    visiontek 4200 hd
    NVIDIA nForce 430 Chipset

This is the VERY last hurdle to having a fully functioning Hackint0sh. My machine screams with this OS on it! Oh! One more thing, if I don't boot with -v I get gray apple screen at startup and it hangs there with spinning thing at bottom. Any ideas or ways to add the -v flag somewhere so i dont have to type it in every restart?

Not that I am aware of. lol. I've seen some talk of that while looking up this problem. Only thing I have done was add openhaltrestart. I got a kernel panic and saw two yellow lines of code when restarting in verbose mode. But they went by so fast could not read what it was. So i rebooted with -v -x and got to my desktop and then rebooted again with just -v and only one line of yellow code this time and no panic. Do I NEED to patch dsdt.aml or are u asking if I did and is that what caused the panic?

dsdt.aml patching will help you with the sleep/restart/shutdown problem..it did on mine..
and if you have to you use -v, you can add it in com.apple.Boot.plist file.
    <key>Kernel Flags</>
    <string>-v</string>

Sweet! Thanks so much man. As soon as I get the time (and the courage) to try the dsdt thing I will. It's really just kind of an annoyance so no big rush. My system is running AMAZING right now other than that and I don't want to screw it up.
