No video signal after updating to 10.6.4 / LGTV compatibility issues?
Hello, I recently installed 10.6 on my computer. Everything was working 100% fine but after I installed the 10.6.4 Update I can't get past the boot up.
It will start up with the Apple logo and the spinner but after that, no video signal comes out. I tried this with multiple monitors, tried safe mode by -x but it still gives out no video after it finished starting up.
I got this error after installing the 10.6.4 update, I even reformatted, reinstalled and installed 10.6.4 again and it happens again.
So why is the update causing this, all I have heard so far is that 10.6.4 is safe for hackintoshes.
and any way I can fix this / have this hackintosh running and have the latest update on without it being wrecked?
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P, I used the UD3P installer from Lifehacker 10.6.2+ Update UD3P v3 | Stell's Blog
the installer seems to be compatible with 10.6.2, so it is not compatible with 10.6.4?
8GB DDR2 800
Also, this is my first post here, seems like a cool community!

What is your video installation kext/method?
There could be problem with it as 10.6.4 should be fine with your system.
heh, I just installed 10.6 with the ud3p package I myself never messed with any kext files, when I go into system profiler it detects my 9800 GTX so everything works when I am in 10.6, but when I update to 10.6.4 it doesn't work anymore.
I am just about to update to 10.6.2 and see if the same happens.
should this be in installation? :s

Yep the 10.6.2 update did the same
1. What do you mean by "did the same" for 10.6.2? As not working? As display black screen? Or as functioning correctly but not for 10.6.4?

It gave no video signal just like after the 10.6.4 update.

Ok change of problem/story here.
I noticed when the LGTV Display is unplugged and the hanns.g monitor works as the main display it can start up normally with the update installed, in system profiler it still detects the 9800gtx.
When the hanns.g is unplugged and the lgtv as the main display, even in vesa mode it displays a "no signal" error after the boot.
When I try to plug in the lgtv while the hanns.g is working, osx freezes up.
Does this have to do with it being a tv? Why does this monitor cause such a problem after the update?
If this was confusing I could show it in a video.

It worked nicely (booting from iboot cd, audio(poor quality at teamspeak 3 but ok at itunes / youtube ) , video, etc) but when i updated to 10.6.4 following the guide, and installed the multibeast and restarted my computer...
Now i cant boot my mac osx, it appears the apple gray screen with the , and them my screen turns black and stays for as long I let it stay.
So my monitor start blinking the red light indicating my computer is at hold/sleep, you know, when u dont move your mouse for some time...
