    Default NewBie Help!

    Hi all i'm new to all this i have managed to get mac osx onto my hp compaq 2510p laptop but i cant seem to get the sound and wireless network card to pickup/work how can i go about fixing this the wifi card is a 4965 intel wireless card and the audio is adi high deffinition, i have tried a kext file after hours of reading on the internet and it seems to just mess up my osx any help please for be much appreciated, Many Thanks, Sean

    This is just based on a quick google research...

    Did you try VoodooHDA for the audio chipset? voodoohda - Project Hosting on Google Code

    Regarding Intel 4965: didn't find anything useful, besides Project: Camphor: Download links , though no driver available. Maybe you have to dig deeper in the search-results to find something

    No1. Tip: Always have a bootable backup, where you can fix stuff after experimenting on the main setup. (e.g. i use a cheap USB stick)

    No2. Make sure you know exactly HOW to install a kext or use an installer (e.g. VoodooHDA has a pkg with an installer), because it sucks BIG times, when you find out that the kext you tried first WAS actually the right one, and you just f***ed the kext-install part (e.g. permissions, or some kext don't work in EXTRA folder etc.) and you wasted just a lot of time - due to bad preparation.
