lag system and jumpy cursor with 7300go
First, Hi and sorry for my basic english.
After a few installations of snow leopard by Hazard 10.6.2, everythings seems to be OK but my graphic card (Geforce 7300 go, equal as Quadro NVS 110M).
If I boot without graphic injector, graphicEnabler or EFi strings my system is OK but resolution is blocked @ 1024x768.
When I apply one of this three things to make my 7300go to work there is the same problem at reboot :
resolution 1400*900 OK but the cursor is jumpy and very, very, very fast so I can't control it. And the system lag when launchnig applications or anything else.
What I've noticed : when I launch an application the system is very very slow but my cursor run very well !!!!! and return to bad behavior when the application is launched.
What I've tried with no solution:
-different kernel : 10.0 10.2 10.3
-set my trackpad preference to the slowest movement
-applePS2trackpad or VoodooPS2trackpad
-Injectors, efi strings, graphicenabler (it recognize my card with -pci1)
I've read on a forum that it looks like an IRQ problem because it goes well when the system is trying to do something, but my knowledge is too bad about that.
Won't you please, please, help me. Help meeee oooooo
Acer Aspire 9300 Laptop
CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 @ 1,6 Ghz
Chipset : Nforce 430 MCP51
RAM : 2 Go
CG : Geforce Go 7300 128Mo LCD/VGA/TV
Sound : Realtek high def ALC883
Ethernet : Onboard NforceLan
Wifi : Atheros AR5005G
Disque dur : Hitashi 160Go SATA
So the problem is wrong resolution if you use injection. You could try booting without injection/EFI string and specify your resolution by an entry in com.apple.boot.plist: Graphics Mode, 1400x900x32.
Hi, thx for reply.
I've tried what you've proposed but no changes.
Maybe a clue:
-when I start with good resolution (-pci1 or injector) everything well until the first SL background image and when my system is booting (very very slow):
First and while a few seconds my cursor move like a charm.
After my cursor go crazy and sensitive as described.
And after my cursor switch between very sensitive movement and upside down movement (left-right and up-down)
And when SL has finished to load the desktop this is just sensitive movement and very slow app launching.
Do I post ioreg, dsdt.dsl or kernel boot log ?
sounds like you are missing VoodooTSCSync.kext in your /e/e/ folder
I did it and nothing change exept at darwin boot there's:
