Did you select NTFS under customization or something?
I would try to get to OSX with minimal selection, and once in there, kexts/others can be installed.

i did not install any unecessary fix like the ethernet and audio and video fixes. I just went base setup.

ok i have working Snow Leopard 10.6.2 but my DVI output won't work. i get a black screen and my monitor says no input. any help?

But you should tell me what steps you take to get there, and what was installed/loaded, as well as the process of booting.
