Internal and External Network devices all not working on hackintosh acer aspire 5630
Hello Guys,
I've installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my acer aspire 5630, by following this
Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done
Now the problem is, no cards are identified, i.e. ethernet and wireless cards are not seen hence I have no internet on my hackintosh.
I tried getting kexts from the following link (step seven)
Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done
But I get Kernel Panics.
Kernel panics mean I get a grey screen in mac which instructs me to power off my computer and try to restart, but ofcourse when I restart mac won't boot and will give me the same error again
Please help and ask if you need me to clarify anything, I need kexts for my ethernet and wireless cards, which won't cause kernel panics, therefore please don't recommend me to install this kext R1000SL.kext cause it causes kernel panics.
my internal ethernet card is : Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
my internal wireless card is : Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
Then I went and bought external usb network stuff, they still didn't work
I got a Pluscom ethernet to usb (comes with no drivers), didn't work ofcourse, not compatible with mac
I also got the Pluscom WU11N-AR9170 which is a usb wireless adaptor, tried all the mac drivers from Ralink corp. | Home , didn't work
I finally got the RT3370, which is supposed to be mac 10.6 compatible, but it still doesn't work. I tried all the drivers from ralinktech but I always get an error message saying the kext couldn't be moved to the System/Library/Extensions or whatever.
Can anybody please help ?
oh yeah btw, I did the following to fix the time-machine not working due to error 35
GetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35
Does this affect networking in my hackintosh ?
I never see interfaces other than PPoE, 6 to 4 and VPN. nothing else shows up in the interface list.
Please advise
