How to install Kexts on Snow Leopard?
Well, it's a really dumb question, I know.
But I don't know the answer, I don't know how to do it... if I should use OSX86Tools or anything like that.
And I don't know if is the same method used on Leopard.
I've installed the Snow Leopard on my Toshiba NB200 Netbook (you can see the progress here), but it didn't recognize sound, wifi, ethernet, sleep, and a few other things, which all need kexts. Kexts that I don't know where to find and neither how to install them.
Thank you for the help.
And I'm sorry if it's a really stupid question.
Well, I tried the old method:
Putting them on System/Libraries/Extensions
removing the cache files
repairing the permissions on disk utility
But since nothing changed on my Snow Leopard, or the old Leopard kexts do not work anymore or I did something wrong.
Installed the latest version of OSX86Tools, then tried to select a few kexts to install, but they were unavailable to select.
Why? Even in the System/Libraries/Extension folder, almost all kexts were unavailable to select... this has something to do with being Snow Leopard?
Someone out there said once that you can install Leopard kexts on Snow Leopard since you're not running 64-bit. In my System Profiler it says that my Kernel and Extensions aren't designed for 64-bit, so I thought I would have no problems.
