Default Help with ethernet issues on a new 10.6 install?

Hello - I have just installed Snow Leopard to find out that my ethernet does not work (along with my sound card and video card). The card is a Broadcom 5787 and I have already tried three kexts.

    Broadcom 570x and 575x - InsanelyMac Forum
MAC OS X86 on DELL D800 - InsanelyMac Forum
    Broadcom BCM5787M/BCM5784M - A solution - InsanelyMac Forum

I have installed each using KextHelper 2.3.2, except for the one that came as an installer. But still no success.

Nobody knows how to get the 5787 ethernet working? I got the sound working, now I only need networking and a new display card.

    Default Recommendations?

OK. Can I ask for any recommendations for a Snow Leopard ethernet card? My computer has both PCI and PCIe (x16) slots. I would like to get a card that is under $20 and is fully functional in 32 bit mode without kexts (just so it will be compatible with all future software upgrades). I would prefer to buy on Amazon, maybe eBay or Best Buy. Please respond - thanks.

Check the list of Compatible Hardware with Snow Leopard (Wired Ethernet section).

Thanks Extraspeed. I already knew about the HCL and hadn't bought any of those because I want to make sure the card will continue working when I upgrade from 10.6 (none of the cards are listed under 10.6.1 or 10.6.2). I was hoping to take someone's personal experience rather than the HCL.
