    you'll be fine!
Thank you. I really appreciate it.
I've been fighting with it for the last two years. Made some advance but so many things in my life are broken.
But I guess I would try my best till the last hope.

Those boot CD's are mostly for Intel, and won't work too well with AMD.
The best method (also the one I used, and it's proven after couple direct updates using Apple software), is using your Leopard to install the retail DVD.

Here is the link to one of them, as there are several similar ones, written/signed with different names.

I used 10.6.2 with it and later update to 10.6.4, but there are people using it with 10.6.3.

update. video card died under windows... must have been cuz i had it overclocked almost 1GHz... oops. lol.

reinstalled SL from hazard (both my leopard dvds were giving KPs installing, so i said screw retail for now...) on a fresh sata hard drive, and updated to 10.6.4 sucessfully. though at boot i still have the 5 minute window where nothing is responsive, then its working all at once. have a little bit of mouse lag and OS lag, but im gonna get everything working and see if its still there.

have full SATA support for my hard drive, but again, still no DVD. the DVD will eject when i press F12, but if i put anything in the drive, it will not respond. oh well. whatever. stupid nForce. will post update once everything is good.

so from what ive read and attempted, Apple has disabled support for 7xxx series Geforce cards and below, starting with 10.6.3. (i read 10.6.1, but i had my 7950GT half working in 10.6.2). so looks like i get to buy another video card anyway. im thinking a 9600 or a gt240.
