Hackintosh laptop, no keys/trackpad
Hey guys, I am a complete NOOB on the hackintosh level, and i've been researching as much as i can, but there are so many places with so much info, i can't seem to find specific info... my search-fu is weak
So, did a hackintosh install, (8 step Lifehacker/Tonymacx86 method)
I did the first install, it was all good, once i updated, keys/trackpad stopped working.
So i re-installed, and had the same problem after updating,
So I RE-Re-installed, and found the problem seems to be when i switch from using iBoot for startup to using Multibeast. Laptop logs in find either way, but if i use iBoot, I can use the built in trackpad and keyboard, works 100% If I install multibeast, it boots fine into Snow Leopard, BUT, the built in keys/trackpad don't work anymore.
Anyone come across this yet? I could continue booting with iBoot, but it is a hassle with the cd. and i could use a USB key/mous, but that eliminates the portability. If anyone has an idea for a fix, that would help... I am waiting on doing any updates/installs in case i need to re-do the install again.
Laptop is an asus M50Vm core 2 duo, I am really hoping to get this going, as it should be similar in power to my mac mini (according to geekbench) and would allow me to bring my garageband projects between home and studio space
other teeny tiny problem s that the audio seems very quiet... not unhearable, but a little quieter than i would like... definietly lower in output than when it was a vista-machine.
Thanks in advance guys!
