I have a ATI 4650 and am running snow leopard.
I have edited the relevant kext files with the card's ID and the card works ok apart from the dvd player etc)

I've done some reading around on here and it seems I need to load a frame buffer for thiscard to work to its potential.

I am using the latest chimera, and after entering a few different frame buffer commands on boot and in the boot list, the command 'ioreg | grep ATY' still shows that the default frame buffer is loading:
| | | | +-o ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer@0 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x1000002$
| | | | | +-o ATY_ATY,RadeonFramebuffer <class ATIFramebuffer, id 0x10$
| | | | +-o ATY,ATY,RadeonFramebuffer@1 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x1000002$
| | | | | +-o ATY_ATY,RadeonFramebuffer <class ATIFramebuffer, id 0x10$

I've tried a few things, such as chaning pciroot number to 1 etc but with no joy!

So basically I can't force load any frame buffers for some reason?

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks Ben
