Default everything is ok EXCEPT THE USB

hello ^^ i have already installed Snow Leopard on an HP TM2T computer. i installed from mac install disk with empire EFI and with legacy kernel and the bootloader is PC_EFI form multibeast. i have an intel core 2 duo.

the USB isn't working... (neither is wifi, but thats becuase of the USB problem.)

i have USB fix, tried it once, didn't work. and im going to try it again right now... i also have the IOUSBfamily.kext for 10.6 (i am running 10.6.4)

its really important that i get this fixed becuase of i use this computer for school and stuff. (electronic music major... witch is the reason i got mac in the first place. i can use garageband and ableton live... and VMware fusion to run windows to run FL studio and all of that stuff. mac is just user friendly.. witch i like. windows is just usefull.. so i thought i should have both. lol. and i don't have enough money for a real mac. i'm a college student... i'm broke.)

thanks so much, i know that all the other people trying to install OS X on their TM2T computers will be happy to have a solution also... from the research i've done on the subject i'm the ONLY one with OS X on my TM2T. they even have a site for it.. but according to them, it doesn't work at all.

well, i dont know what to do. it seems that the empire EFI disk makes the USB work... and chamilion doesn't and it makes you install that after you boot... so.. why cant i just install whats on the disk? idk whats differant about it. the boot loader has something that PC_EFI and chamilion dont.... even the "my hack" on the disk...

Well, then you've just found it.
There are more to the bootCD then just bootloader.
You can open it up and see if it's a kext, an entry/boot option/command then just copy that to your system.

It's usually a kext. So look at all USB related ones to see if there something that you don't have in your system folders.

so far, i've installed every kext on the disk. rebooted... USB still doesn't work. the USB mouse still works normal.... the only other things on there i haven't touched its the .plist and the mach_kernel file... witch i'm very tempted to copy over the existing one i have now and pray i dont have a KP. i'm not 100% sure that would work though, as i am using legacy_kernel. the way i install is bootup.. update to 10.6.4 install legacy 10.6.4 reboot, delete mach_kernel, install bootloader, reboot THEN its safe to install kexts. i've found, any slight change... even installing mac sudoku before the third reboot causes a KP. (not sure why.)
