"efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata"
Getting this error on boot using Chameleon RC3 and Snow Leopard (10.6.2) and have had it since 10.6 on every hackintosh I've created.
Done a number of searches and yet to find any resolve. Has anyone managed to fix this issue? It's purely cosmetic at this point and just annoys me more than anything.
Here is a screenshot: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/8997/52651968.jpg
Note: The "header read size 200 incorrect image signature" issue was resolved by deleting my sleepimage file under "/var/vm" and disabling hibernation using the terminal and following command:
PHP Code:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
Now I'm just wanting to rid myself of that "efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata" error!

Same error for me on Lenovo S10 but Chameleon RC3 no longer works
Hi there,
Can you confirm using 10.6.2 that Chameleon RC3 does successfully boot to OS X?
I'm also using Chameleon RC3 and 10.6.2. I get the efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata error message too. It comes up for a fraction of a second before showing the chameleon apple screen and crashing / rebooting. I needed to reboot about 30-40 times to read the message accurately, one bit at a time, as it flashes up so fast!
Well, for me since updating to 10.6.2, Chameleon RC3 does not launch OK with the Mac. It works fine for my Windows XP partition, and if I choose to boot directly to the Mac partition (and not the dedicated Chameleon Boot partition) everything is also fine.
I'm rather at a loss to understand what's wrong. Perhaps the config file for Chameleon wants changing since updating to 10.6.2 from 10.6.1, but in any case multi-boot is not working properly.
I'm using a Lenovo S10e with 1.5G memory, 160GB hard drive, with the bluetooth module, and everything else is standard release. I have a Boot partition with chameleon, a Mac (was 10.6.1 now 10.6.2) partition and a Windows XP partition on the hard disk. To get things working I have used the Snow Leopard Enabler 1.1.8 which has drivers and a patch for 10.6.2, but NO OTHER fancy settings.
I had thought that perhaps the new kernel release in 10.6.2 wasn't compatible with Chameleon RC3 but if you can confirm it works, then I'll have to think of another reason why things don't go. What a pain

Chameleon RC3 works normally with 10.6.2.
Few things to check:
- check your pc_efi boot version. Use version 10.4 or 10.5 . You can read more about this at netkas.org
- Also with 10.6.2, make sure to use the new updated sleepenabler.kext
10.6.2 from Apple does not support Intel Atom processor. However, I believe there is a new patched kernel that adds support for Atom Processor

Fixed 10.6.2 using patched kernel - thanks for help!
Update - fixed
Now this is curious - though 10.6.2 boots perfectly when *not* using Chameleon, i.e. from its own partition, it doesn't work with Chameleon unless I try using a patched kernel. I downloaded my patched kernel from the link on forum page http://s10lenovo.com/viewtopic.php?f...tart=10#p24941. Now, everything is fine - though I can't explain why.
Thanks dtube for the answer and your time - I've been scratching my head (and reinstalling like mad) since Sunday over this issue! If there are others out there with the same problem, this seems to be the solution.

And thanks for the link to the Lenovo thread.

Also, note that dsmos.kext causes kernel panics with 10.6.2, so delete it from S/L/E and /E/E if it exists. You can use fakesmc.kext in place of this kext if needed.
