i installed ideneb v1.3 10.5.5 and all installed and boots ok. however i have no sound.

tryed about 4 different kexts ( appleHDA, HDAenabler, legacyHDA & voodooHDA) still no sound through internal speakers.

system profiler says no audio built in.

anyone help.

specs are

m17x r2, 4GB ram, Intel i7Quad Core, duel ATI Radeon HD 4870 , i think its IDT 92HD73C1 for onboard audio.

however before i formatted useing everest program it said under audio device: ati high def audio device.

You must know the Audio codec of it to install the right kext for Example : my card is real tech and it's Audio codec ( ALC 888) " you can know your Audio Codec from Realtech HD Audio Manager program which you can download " of course if your card is Realtech

Make Sure also that your Sound System Preferences is Internal or output .. it depends on your computer
and please can you do me a favor ? did your Internet work ??? if yes ... what's your card and what Kext did you choose ?
