ALC888s almost running
OK so i've got my OSX up and running almost perfectly, but for the Audio kext. I've got a PM55 motherboard, with an ALC888s according to Realtek HD audio manager on Windows 7, so I assumed I needed VoodooHDA 0.2.62 (It doesn't seem to be directly supported like the ALC888 by LegacyHDA, although I could be wrong) I installed it using multibeast (and backed up and removed applehda.kext) and it so very nearly worked - it's recognised my microphone in full working order;
but not my actual outputs;
For what it's worth, I do actually have an HDMI-out, but not 4 - or however many are actually listed. I'm using an MSI GT-740, specs;http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=pr...=&prod_no=1902
I've installed with iboot+multibeast, unsupported CPU, no edited DSDT for me, so it makes things that much more awkward.
What should I do? Trial & Error? If so, what's the best way to uninstall VoodooHDA? is it just the kext file? And then should I use Kext helper after that and with what?
