well the only thing i can dig up for audio is that its a conexant hd smart audio 221/CX20561-15Z codec. i still have my windows vista hard drive i can plug in to find out but i don't know where to look for it. i went into the audio properties and on the last tab, details i think,it gives me a menu with options for the sound card like device id, actual display name, etc. by the way, thanks for the quick response back. i totally feel stupid asking these questions as i hate to waste anybody's time since i'm a n00b. but any help i appreciate...thanks... by the way my notebook is a lenovo 3000 g530 4151. here are some specs:http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/3book.pdf.

well... i found two versions. i found everest ultimate edition v5.00 and also everest home edition v2.20. will the home edition work? the home edition states it can display chipsets. i would hate to have to pay for the ultimate edition to only use it once. :-(
