Are Typical Kexts Kernel Specific?
Hey, I'm new here, so please bear with me.
I'm wondering if assorted kexts are tied to a specific kernel version? For example, I have an Intel 82566MM wifi card on one laptop, and I've found a kext that is said to work well with 10.5.3. If I try to use that same kext with a 10.5.6 O/S version with a newer kernel, will that kext cause problems, fail to work, etc.? Thanks for any help...
