Realtek High Definition Audio help
I bought a Sony Vaio VPCEB32FM laptop at Best Buy on Thanks giving and installed iAtkos 4i Leopard 10.5.4.
I got everything working almost perfect but I was not able to make the wireless or audio work:
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio
Wireless: Atheros AR9285
I'm not concern about the wireless right now because I was able to get a Netgear USB WG111v2 that I already had working fine using a Realtek driver, here:
InsanelyMac Forum > Netgear WG111 v2 USB dongle
For the audio card I read and read and tried several different things but the closer I got to get it working is using an Azalia package found here:
Azalia Audio - Downloads - Kexts.com
After installing the package and changing the ID's to match the ones I have the audio card shows up in System Preferences, Sound, Output but there's no sound:
Codec ID: VEN_10EC&DEV_0269 (0x026910ec)
HDA ID: VEN_8086&DEV_2804 (0x28048086)
Any advise that I can get will be very appreciated because I don't know what else to try...
THANKS in advance and have a good day!
Realtek ALC269 kext
I was able to determine that my audio card is a Realtek ALC269.
I'm looking for the right kext, any help would be appreciated
I just wanted to share in case you need it too...
This kext got the audio and mic working great!
