I have been struggling with this FOREVER. Google is great, but so many hits, no answers. I just installed a fresh copy of iPC 10.5.6 , and installed the voodoo kernel + seatbelt.kext

I cannot find ANY WORKING sound kexts for my p5n32-e sli se deluxe motherboard with a realtek alc850 chip. everything else i have gotten to work! (except for totally random kernel panics, that is for another thread i guess)

Can someone help me at all on this? someone HAS TO HAVE a freaking working driver for this sound card.

** Update ** : I found an install package online (not the one from the install disc) and installed it it was something like 'ALC850.pkg' Anyways, I have sound, but it is only in 1 channel, and the optical out doesn't work, only the component, which I think I can live with. But the sound ONLY comes out of the left front speaker. I tried all the MIDI modifications,etc, but can't find shit. Anyone have a suggestion?

Does anyone have a working ALC850 running on a NForce4 chipset (0x005910de) that could send me their kext?

I've got the same problem! I tried a alc850.pkg I found but that still isn't working... could you possibly point me in the right direction? I'll take any sound possible at this point!
