Need some help with my PC -EP45-UD3P /w 8800GT

So, I finally got OS X working and all that. I don't really know anything about this hackintosh stuff, don't really know what ktext files are, and all that, but I used google for about a day and managed to get everything working. My ethernet, audio, and video are all working properly, and I'm loving OS X on my 23" monitor.

Here's a few things I was able to do before, and am unable to do now:
Connect to a share on my file server
Play a Doom 3 Demo

No idea on the file server thing, all my other windows boxes can see it fine, and I think my eMac can too. The Doom 3 thing, maybe I screwed up a driver or something? I get good performance... I don't know why the game no longer opens.

Also... I have Quartz enabled, but can't get Extreme.

If your on Leopard you can try using OSXx86 tools to enable QE/CI if it's not enabled properly. If that don't work try a different kext (driver) for video. Anytime you delete or install a kext be sure to repair permissions. About Doom I'm probably not the best person to ask seeing that I don't play games (well on my rig) but perhaps you need to configure the server. Maybe one of our other members will chime in and have a better solution for you, for the game issue. Hope this helps :)

Can someone recomend the best ktext and method of installing it for an 8800GT? I use osx86 tools right now.

What flavor of OSX are you running? What kexts have been installed?
