Mini 10v working for 2 months and now freezes on startup

i've had no problems with my mini for the 2 months ive had it set up until I tried to boot up the other day and it freezes on the black screen after the dell progress bar. I can access the setup menu before it goes black and I figured I could get it to boot from the flash drive but it still gets stuck at the black screen. I believe I'm running OS 10.6.3 and have corrected the sleep issue but I'm stuck on this one.

I'm having a similar issue. Dell Mini 10v running 10.6.6 was running smoothly for several months and now does not boot up. It will start up to a Dell logo, then to a black screen with white code, and "operating system not found."

This is the second time this has happened. No updates were accidentally installed. What could be causing it to randomly crash?
