How do I add Kexts to get my Sound Card working

Hello all

I was able to install Deneb on my computer. The only thing I need to get working now is the sound. When I was installing the OS I selected ALC888 for the audio kext but for some reason its not wokring. I noticed that there was another ALC888 driver in the setup that i'm supposed to use if the one I selected didn't work. I have Kext Helper installed is there a way I can pull the kext off of the DVD? thanks for the help.

Chipset: ICH10
CPU: Intel 3ghz duo core 2
GPU: XFX NVIDIA 8800GTS 648MB
Memory: 4 gb 800MHz Cosair <<<:-P they gave me the wrong bus
Hard drive: Western digital green power 1 TB
LAN: Realtek 8111C Onboard
Sound: ALC888 Onboard

Downloaded and installed works like a charm!!! I took your advice from a week ago and got a gigabyte mobo works great. Were is the best place to post my configuration and process I want to help fellow newbies in the future?

Will that zip file work for my sound? Which analogue ports are working and not working? Does the optical out work?

I am using EFI partition to boot and I put all of my kext and com.apple.boot.plist file on EFI partition. Could this kext be OK to be installed into EFI partition and make mkext for boot?

if it does not work, we can try another driver.

I am not sure how to find the exact details on my laptops speakers to be able to find the right kext. Yes i am a nube. please help!!!!1
