GPU Fan Speed Hack
This is my first time here. Been using my hackintosh for a few weeks now. So far so good and all is working as it should. The only 'problem' I have is the heat coming from my nVidia 8800GT card. I live in Singapore and its hot and humid over here. I suspect its due to the default low fan speed. Same problem I experience while running Vista but Rivatuner saved my life!
Any kind folks out there have any idea how to tinker with the gpu fan speed? I tried a couple of suggestion found somewhere on the net but those are mainly hacks for the case fans.
Some tech specs (just in case...)
Gigabyte EP45-DS3 (sound working! hell yeah!)
Leadtek 8800GT 512MB
Currently on OS 10.5.2 and not planning to update the OS.
Thank you in advance. Cheers!
not sure if there is any tweeks, however, Snow Leopard states that they are able to take power from the GPU....
