Driver for ATI x600 Craphics Card?

Howdy,

I'm trying to run the iPC 10.5.6 load on an HP zd8000. I can get it to install and run, but I'm limited to a single (unacceptable) video resolution choice of 1084X768. I've done some poking around, and I found a spec for an old Mac Pro for sale that claimed it had an ATI x600 from the factory. If Macs actually shipped with that h/w, shouldn't a standard installation be able to detect it and install a good enough driver to run several different resolutions? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I never got any answers to this question, but I did get the machine to work with additional resolutions by adding the Callisto drivers.

I still can't get Quartz to work (or load a color calibration into the card), but at least I have reasonable resolution now.

i am a avid OSx86 user but i am helping my sister with her HP nc8230 and that has a ATI X600 and i did install the calisto Drivers but when i reboot after installing them i am hung at the loading screen. Not even the safe boot configuration DX

Did you guys check in the HCL?
