Default Please help a poor noob with ideneb 10.5.6

    Hi guys

WARNING: I am a TOTAL noob to the OSX86 thing, but know my way around a PC very well.

I have ideneb 10.5.6 installed successfully (well, it only runs in safe mode).
I have the following PC hardware:

    C2D E6600 Conroe CPU
    Asus P5B-Deluxe Wifi which has:
    Intel P965/ICH8R chipset
    JMicron JMB363
    Seagate 320GB SATA boot HDD
    Marvell Yukon 88E8001 LAN
    Realtek RTL8187 wifi
    TI firewire
    ADI AD1988B sound

I have a LeadTek nvidia 7900GTX 512MB PCI-E dual DVI video card. Monitors hanging off it are a Dell 2408WFP and a Benq FP202W.

If I boot without the -x flag it complains with the following:

    display: family specific matching fails

then displays a blue screen momentarily, then a black one with either a mouse pointer or a multicolor spinning wheel. It stays like that indefinately.

I am a TOTAL noob, and trying to understand how to get hardware recognised and working. I am happy for you to direct me to a guide for total noobs!

Even if you could give me some tips/advice on getting video working, it will enable me (hopefully) to boot normally and get the other drivers happening...

    Thanks heaps!!!

I forgot to mention I have tried installing 3 times with different video kexts. NVKush, NVDarwin and NVinject?

Do you usually modify existing kexts or insert new ones?

    cheers!
