nVidia FX5200 pci-based ... I tried but...SLOW!
HI Everybody!
I have a IBM ThinkCentre 8183 with a Intel-based graphic chipset.
I found it very slow, because it's only 32 MB of shared memory.
I also tried with a PCI-based (my pc hasn't agp slots) Zotac Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 @256 MB DDR.
I tried without a driver, but after installing, my system had kernel panic. I also tried with nvinject and nvkush, system seems to go, but freeze (I have desktop, mouse goes but nothing else.)
I tried also the guide with nvidia universal installer etc., and charged the coregraphics patch.
My hackintosh seems to go well, but I don't see a great graphic acceleration.
In system profiler I see, in graphics, "no kext charged", and in pci "no pci card installed".
It's normal? I think not!
Anyone had my same problem with this graphic card or a similar?
Anyone can help me?
THX!
PS: sorry for my ugly english, but I'm Italian...

mine runs fine
ibm 8183 / thinkcentre s50, 865g / 82865 chipset, 736m ram, onboard audio(adi1981b), video, ethernet(pro 100), pata hd. I think it's very much like a dell dimension 4100. No luck w/kaly or iatkos. Wiped partition, installed ideneb1.4(f8, -v, -x), guid, 9.2.0 kernal, 97 audio, pro v net, all apps, disable fw, ichx fix, seatbel fix. Takes all updates except 10.5.7. Found all networked devices(printer, nas drive). Installed trendnet usb wireless no prob. Cant wake from sleep but oh well.
