Netgear GA311 and Kalyway 10.5.2 Not Working
Hey all, new user and new hackintosh user also. I just took the plunge yesterday and installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my system. After reburning the disc, and pulling out a stick of RAM, I got it installed. I managed to get the resolution changed and poke around a bit, but thats about it. I cant get my network to work, or my sound. I really only care about network. System specs are:
Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H (I know there are better but this is what I have)
Core 2 Duo E7400
2GB OCZ Gold PC6400
150gb WD HD
ETC.
I know the onboard 8211CL Nic wont work as there are now kext files created, but the GA311 "should" work outta the box. I know some people have said that this is no longer the case. Most of the searching that I have done has either been to when this was the go to NIC or hasnt helped. The only thing that has somewhat helped was when someone had a similar problem, and then answered their question themselves by saying:
"I decided to just ignore the OOB claim and try the usual things and the IONetworkingFamily.kext did the trick!"
The problem is, I dont know what the usual things are. Please forgive as I am new to this and I have tried to solve the problem myself. The problem is, I dont know what search terms to use to find what Im looking for.
Thanks In Advance.
