Need help with new hackintosh please
Hi, I just successfully installed iDeneb v1.4 OS X 10.5.6 on my computer. But I have a few things that I can't get fixed. First off, I have a Realtek ALC888 audio chipset. I have searched and searched the internet and tried several different kexts but haven't found one that works yet. I would like to be able to get line in working if possible, but I would be content to just have output for now. I do not currently have any audio kexts on my computer. Also, in the "About this Mac" screen as well as System Profiler, my CPU is reported to be only 505MHz. I have a AMD Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6GHz overclocked to 3.03GHz. The CPU name is reported correctly. Also in "About this Mac" it reports my memory speed to be only 333MHz. I have my 667MHz RAM overclocked (but I don't remember how much exactly). Any help that anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated!

You can use OSX86 tools to correct the "About This Mac" information, as for the audio try installing the Azalia Package.

Hello, I am a complete noob when it comes to MAC’s. I have always stuck faithfully to PC, but since I got an IPHONE they have peeked my interest. Today I installed a hack version on my Sony Viao, and I seem to have a problem with my drivers. My audio doesn’t work, I can’t see the full resolution on my display, and my touch is generic. I know the likely hood of any of these things working is slim, but if anyone could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it, thank you!

Thanks for you help Plasma! I got all the info in "About this Mac" correct. But I tried the Azalia audio driver from the installation DVD and I'm still getting no sound. Any other ideas?
