Default kernel panic after opening .dmg files

    Hi everybody.

    i got the following problem.
i installed the leopard version and everything went right.
also i installed imovie and office for mac.
everything worked, but after i wanted to download some stuff from the net
.dmg file he wants to open it and then it hangs.
    it is so frustrating...
because of this i cannot install anything.
i have screenshots so if somebody can help me just ask and i will mail the screenshots.

    for a config i have:
    945 dualcore on a asus P5WD2 premium. (955 chipset)
    4GB of RAM
    ATI HD2900XT

for more info just ask and i will give everything what you need.

and if there is no fix for this problem is there any tool like daemon tools or alcohol to open the DMG file and extract the necessary files?

Thanks many many many times in advanced for helping me out.

Heres a solution, the problem is that your system.kext dont match with your kernel version... good luck report back your progress

i had the same problem, and i have resolved by installing igetter and integrating it to safari, no more problems with dmg files except when i download with safari. The problem surely comes from safari.
