Discuss iwi3945 at the Kernel / Kext (Driver) Support - Hackint0sh.org; I've read all of the threads on the 3945 card and have had no luck ...
I've read all of the threads on the 3945 card and have had no luck with getting the adapter to work. I understand that there are "no stable drivers" for the card, but hey - this whole OSx86 thing is my new project, so I figure I can ask here to get my laptop running at 100%.
I installed using the iPC 10.5.6 image, and selected the 3945 driver that was packaged with the DVD when prompted for a wireless adapter. This installed networkSelector, which I have had little luck with.
There is no AirPort icon in the taskbar - no surprise here. But when I open networkSelector, there seems to be no response from the software itself.
When prompted (1. Turn card on/off) (2. Select network) etc. I have tried:
>> 1 <return>
>> 2 <return>
With no luck. "networks detected: " (blank). So I reboot.
Opened the software again and simply tried:
>> 2 <return>
Again, same output - no networks.
Trying something out, I type the name of my network into the field. Let's call it "linksys" for now.
>> linksys <return>
The terminal is then repeatedly flooded with menu prompt as well as a listing the name/IP address of my router (I think it may have had the MAC address as well, I don't actually have the laptop on at this moment in time) and another router that is available on my street.
So... It can see my network. Where do I go from here - I can't choose either network as the terminal is stuck in an infinite loop of "networks: 1. mine 2. another" then the menu, repeated.
Thanks in advance
you should try to find another newer, google it and you are supposed to find
