Intel D525MW Desktop Motherboard-- Desperate Help!
Hello,
I've installed Leopard 10.5.6 and I'm able to boot after using a guide at InsanleyMac. I am using a mini-itx system, an Intel Desktop Board D525MW with Intel Atom D525 Atom (1.80GHz) and Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics.
Immediately on boot it crashes:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00434A1F): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/
xnu/xnu-1228.9.59/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:
I tried a DSDT based on someone who claimed to have the same board, and it failed. I tried changing some KEXTs, and the kernel panic shutdown message kicked in. Prior to this, it just hung on the grey apple and did nothing.
Please note, I need a solution that can either be installed onto the hard drive from another computer, or added by booting USB Linux and tweaking the system. I am not multibooting and I have no CD drive to boot the installer anymore.
I am desperate for help. There is so little interest in supporting Leopard, I've tried two hackintosh forums so far and nobody is able to help beyond the diagnoses.
I am not interested in using an illegal hacked edition, or a later version of OSX.

If it hangs at the grey apple, did you try to boot verbose and check what it told you?

I've tried booting verbose. It does nothing and hangs at the Apple. There is no time any way after I started getting the kernel panic image, because its instant.
