iDeneb make iDepressed
Good day. I have been trying to install iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 for the past week. After many infinite boot issues, kernel panics, and dragon attacks, I had a major breakthrough yesterday; it finally installed successfully (sleep kernel 9.2 and NVInject video driver)! However, now I can ONLY boot in safe mode.
Whenever I try a regular boot, I get the black screen with a cursor. I KIIIINDA fixed this by changing my resolution to 1024x768 at the terminal. Now, instead of a black screen with a cursor, I have the pretty blue screen with a cursor.
Which, surprisingly decreases my level of pissed-offedness. . . . but only slightly.
Anyway, here are my specs:
Proc: Intel Core 2 Duo
Board: NVIDIA GeForce 7150/nForce 630i integrated chipset
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 500GB SATA (install)/ 1TB SATA
Is anything else relevant? If so, ask and I'll figure it out and post.
My goal is to have a complete OSX86 system (where complete == wifi + sound + USB functional). Is this possible with my specs??? If not, please tell me and I'll (maybe) quit wasting my time.
Thanks for any help!

Still having issues. . . I can't get my USB working. I have Kalyway 10.5.2, did the Kalyway Combo Update to 10.5.3 using sleep kernel 9.2.0. I installed the 9.2.0 system.kext, still didn't get USB to work. Then I tried the usb_fix_1.3.mpkg posted by Mysticus C, USB still doesn't work.
I think I'm going to start over. Which distro would you recommend for my specs? Currently, I HAVE iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 (Fail), Kalyway 10.5.2 (Failing), and JaS 10.5.4 (unfailed-as-of-yet).
Is there anything I can post to help with my diagnosis? I'm kinda a newbie. . . I guess, somewhere in between complete-newbie and intermediate-beginner.
Oh yeah, and I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I have two SATA drives. One is 500 GB (OSX installation), and the other is 1 TB (Tiny XP, Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.10, and Blag 90k). I'd like to trip...no, quad-(and probably more)-boot when it's all said and done.
Thanks for your help!

OK. . . I'm trying iAtkos v5i 10.5.5 and the disk won't even boot - it resets/ kernel panics all over itself. I've adjusted all my BIOS settings (that I can think of), and still get the same results. I've toggled AHCI on/off, made sure NX bit is enabled, and...actually that's it.
Any suggestions? I guess I could go back to Kalyway, but I prefer iAtkos, since it seems more advanced. Please lemme know!
Thanks!

Wow. . . RIGHT after I posted that, I rebooted (for like the 1,348th time) and WHAMMY! iAtkos disk booted!
Going through it now - will post progress.
Edit 1 - 8:33 pm: Stuck on blank screen with nice wallpaper and spinning pinwheel for 10 minutes now
. Bouta eat and come back.
Edit 2 - 9:53 pm: Restarted another hundred times. Same luck: none. Still trying.
Edit 3 - 10:30 pm: Checked out link in icchansan's signature on how to install iAtkos. Booted with "cpus=1" flag, and voila. . . so far so good
