After I run the installation for the 3945 I wait for the system to detect the card and it never does. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue with my 4965. I just ordered a Dell 1390 off eBay for less then $15 shipped. I can replace my card really easy so it was a no brain er. Once some good drivers are written I'll try the 4965 again.

Hey gus, nice work, I'm rather new to OSX but I have a little knowlege of Linux so hopefully I'll survive the transition from Windows. I realise this driver is a work in progress, do we have any idea when it might support WPA Security? I have a slight poblem in that I'm using OSX on a HP nc6400 Notebook which has the built in Intel wireess. I'm not sure that it will be so easy for me to simply change the card for one that is fully supported! Any info greatefully received

    Cheers

I would () just go and get a fully compatible USB wireless stick. It will save a lot of time and a lot of frustration messing around with drivers.

Yep, you might be right, the driver installed, OSX recognises Eth0 now but the network selector utility doesn't find any wireless networks.

On the plus side I've had the laptop in pieces and it looks like I may be able to replace the miniPCI wireless module. So my next question .. is there a miniPCI card that is fully supported with full WPA drivers a nice GUI etc?

I'm also struggling to get the sound working, its aparently a SoundMax ADI HD Audio but I selected the only ADI driver which mentioned HD and that doesn't work. Its a HP nc6400 laptop.

    Plasma
